1. Pool Side Tapestry

This project in Findlay Creek had a significant wish list to be incorporated into this family retreat. Privacy from the houses behind and a garden brimming full of some of our client's favorite plants were not to be compromised while maintaining maximum entertaining space for large gatherings.

2. Fairmont

Along with a new hardscape, our clients were looking for a beautiful set of beds to create a lush backdrop for their Experimental farm area home. 

1. Cozy Courtyard

This blank canvas needed definition to give our clients a sense of enclosure while maintaining views to the golf course. A narrow deck with generous steps casually connects house to yard, and a striking feature wall wraps the spacious terrace. The centerpiece of the lounge area is a beautiful NG fire table to gather around.

2. Country Elegance

This hardscape contrasts white porcelain pavers with dark limestone accent banding to accent the bold lines of the house's architecture. Relaxation and excitement are the contrasted uses of the space; whether it is a calm morning coffee by the pool, or a garden party for 50 the space easily accommodates it all. The rugged natural stone feature boulders are used as sculpture throughout the gardens with up-lights to showcase them in the evening. This entire hardscape is permeable using resin sand draining to an open graded base allowing for maximum water infiltration back into the ground. Gentle on the feet while also being non-slip the porcelain tiles create a low maintenance but safe pool surround. Three 15’ long steps separate the upper patio area from the lower pool patio. The raised planter is constructed from sawn bed limestone with a guillotined face making a rugged looking texture creating a refined edge to the porcelain adjacent to it. The front circular driveway has a dry limestone feature rock garden with all slabs laid on a slight slope to replicate a natural rock seam found in nature. This same slope is applied to all limestone feature boulders around the site for continuity. Sitting in this space is so peaceful and serine allowing the surrounding nature and planting to take centre stage.

Our goal was to create a unitque space to enjoy with family and friends. We wanted to play with different materials and textures to create something one of a kind.

4. McManus Project

Blank slate project with a long wish list from clients. Large pool, hot tub, large structure with covered seating, television, fireplace, washroom and storage room. Custom pergola with back wall to match structure. Large lounging area by the pool, planting, lighting. Very symmetrical design.

5. Richmond Village Estate

This Richmond Village estate project sits on 2.5 acres capitalizing on its natural surroundings backing on the Jock River. With interior inspiration from Spanish style architecture, Davis Landscape collaborated with Lot 4 Design to take the interior aesthetics to the exterior. By blending architectural inspiration with outdoor design to create a cohesive and luxurious outdoor experience. With over 7500 square feet of Banas Natural stone patio, adding a natural look with rich color variations and exceptional quality, perfectly complementing the estate's grandeur. The backyard is a true oasis with a resort style feel elevating the property into a tranquil and immersive haven, perfect for hosting or relaxing.

6. Country Retreat

This country home landscape blends rustic charm with modern functionality. 5700 sq ft of textured stone in the driveway and meandering pathways lead to a spacious patio. A striking firepit area serves as the centerpiece, with cozy seating and creates a serene retreat that is perfect for outdoor living.

7. Hidden Meadows

The clients were looking for something creative and different for their front yard landscape so our designer created a front yard of clean lines and formal style gardens using a mixture of Blu series pavers with Westmount from techo bloc and colours to play off the trim and brick of their house.

1. Entry Urn

This classic entry garden overlooking parkland is the perfect place to sit and enjoy the evening sun. Adding a simple water feature here adds eye catching movement as guests approach the front door and becomes the perfect place to gather around and mingle for an evening drink. The gentle gurgling sounds of water help make the city noises fade away.

2. Cascade & Canopy

This project transforms an outdoor space into a luxurious retreat featuring a sleek, modern pool surrounded by a custom stone patio. A stylish pergola provides shade and elegance, blending seamlessly with the landscape.

3. Brousseau Residence

Beautiful custom pool with water and fire features. These columns are housing some color changing sheer descents and some gas fire torches.

4. Ridgefield

A waterfall set in a wild-life focused backyard. Backing up against garden beds and built into an 18” armorstone wall, this waterfall is a focal point for anyone looking out from the kitchen or upper storey windows. It is nestled between both a dining patio and a sitting area, making it the perfect location for viewing and generating an ambience. This waterfall features four LED lights, two waterfall drops, and bird wading areas. The waterfall is surrounded by pollinator and bird-attracting plants to encourage wildlife into the yard.

1. Pergola Please

This suburban home has been given a dramatic backyard deck and pergola to create the perfect dining area open to the yard below. Careful attention was paid to ensure views from inside were maintained to both pool area and sky. The chunky fir pergola with carefully notched beams floats effortlessly over the meticulously detailed PVC deck.

2. D'Angelo Gazebo

Large custom gazebo designed and built. Symmetrical with electric fireplace and television wall, kitchen area in one end and washroom and storage area in other end. Large custom doors with matching transom windows.

1. Waterford Retirement Barrhaven

This large 2 tower connected retirement complex features multi level landscape. The intent for this retirement complex was to create a welcoming and practical outdoor environment tailored to its residents’ needs. The multi-level terraces serve a specific purpose, from relaxation areas to community gathering spaces, encouraging outdoor engagement among residents while maintaining a sense of privacy and accessibility. 20,000 square feet of heated interlock ensures year-round usability and safety allowing residents to enjoy the space regardless of weather conditions. This project highlights how commercial properties can achieve luxury and practicality without compromising on either.

2. Sunnyside

Interlocking Design and Build for around a small apartment building. We created a series of pathways and a tall interlocking wall to handle the steep grade changes and narrow access between properties.

1. Creekside Village Cardel

The lighting transitions the property seamlessly from day to night, maintaining its charm and usability. The intent with this project was to create a natural glow surrounding the property. Using lighting to connect nature creating an enchanting setting. Using trees and shrubs of various heights and textures as focal points for lighting adding layers of depth and warmth to the space. Showcasing the landscape even after dark the lighting transforms this space into a visually stunning and welcoming environment, making you feel fully ingulfed in the glow when enjoying this space.

2. Small But Lovely

The limited space posed a challenge, but low-voltage lighting was thoughtfully arranged for a balanced, inviting atmosphere. Pathway lights guide through lush foliage, while subtle uplighting enhances plants and features, creating a warm ambiance perfect for relaxation and entertainment.

Beautiful design completed and built. Turn around driveway, symmetrical design going to the front door with light pillars, large steps and planter. Large planting area near road with ground cover, spruces and address pillar. Matching pavers throughout property.

2. Destination Relaxation

Clever use of varying levels and heights creates visual interest and intimacy, with a cedar deck, arbor, and screens offering both privacy and focal points. A sunken fireplace adds cozy ambiance. Thoughtful drainage solutions and shade plants soften the hardscape. A small sauna and cold plunge integrate seamlessly, enhancing the space.

A backyard design, the clients are looking for a landscape that makes as much use of their yard as possible with some added flare in their patio design.

A small plunge pool is nestled into the corner with permeable surfaces throughout to manage the rainwater onsite. With an automated pergola, an outdoor kitchen and fire bowl why go inside at all?
