GROW is an Employment Ontario program funded in part by the Government of Canada and the Government of Ontario.

This allows Landscape Ontario to provide GROW's professional training programs and support services free of charge to registered companies providing landscape and horticulture services in Ontario.

Our program funding requires us to verify that participating employers must operate in full compliance with all applicable safety and employment legislation, including but not limited to:

• Ontario Human Rights Code
• Building Opportunities in the Skilled Trades Act
• Occupational Health and Safety Act (1990)
• Employment Standards Act, 2000 (ESA 2000)
• Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (1990)
• Any other legislation that may be applicable to the primary applicant and its operations or business.

As part of these requirements, employers must also maintain and declare:

• Appropriate WSIB and/or private disability insurance coverage as applicable to cover the cost of work-related injuries/occupational diseases;
• Adequate third-party general liability insurance as advised by its insurance broker.
